Kaya Torres, an engineer with a sailor's mouth and a stubborn spirit, barely escaped her research ship when a calamity broke it in half. Now she's circling a black hole in a pod, with no one coming, no one to help. She's alone.

Steph Barkley’s “startlingly good performance” (The New York Times) anchors this high-concept sci-fi that wowed audiences at film festivals like HollyShorts, the Edmonton International Film Festival, and Dances With Films. The 20-minute short went on to receive distribution on the sci-fi platform DUST. It garnered over 600,000 views on DUST’s YouTube channel, racking up 20k+ positive reactions, along with over a million views on Facebook, leading to a feature adaptation currently in development.
